introduction

Carrots from Wilcox are grown in the key growing regions of Pukekohe and Ohakune and are harvested, stored and pre-packed for year round availability in New Zealand supermarkets. Varieties are grown and selected for taste and consistency and are grown to ensure year round supply.

Crisp, sweet, and with a compelling richness of colour and flavour. Carrots are verstile vegetables and an essential in recipes from stews and soups to stir-fry dishes and raw salads.

Carrots originated in the middle east and range in shape from globular to long-pointed. Over time carrots have changed in colour from beige, white or red to the orange colour we know today.

Carrots are available in New Zealand throughout the year and are the 3rd most popular vegetable!
